Deployment & Projects
How projects and user access work in a self-hosted NQRust Analytics deployment.
NQRust Analytics is a self-hosted platform: there is no hosted organization, billing, or seat management to configure. Instead, your single deployment hosts everything you build.
One deployment, many projects
A deployment hosts your projects. Each project pairs a data source with the model and conversation history built on top of it. You create projects, switch between them, and manage their settings directly in the Analytics UI. To create or move between projects, see Manage Projects.
User access
Rather than organization members and seats, NQRust Analytics uses user accounts combined with role-based access control (RBAC). Three roles are available:
- Admin — full control over the deployment, projects, and settings.
- Editor — can build models and ask questions, but not manage the deployment.
- Viewer — read-only access to existing projects and results.
Accounts and roles have their own dedicated section, so this page only points you in the right direction. To get your deployment running and create the first account, see Installation.
